It is my understanding that most people in the world are, purely and simply, unhappy. Maybe not from a small time frame point of view because, I guess, it is possible to be happy at some moment in time but I’m 100% sure that, regarding relationships, everyone is globally miserable or will be.

Let’s try to elaborate. Most people fall into one of two categories: Those that are single and seeing no one, and those that are in a relationship. Now, I’ve discussed this with many people from both categories and the conclusion is plain and simple: The single ones are miserable because they are not in a relationship and, by definition, are lonely. On the other hand, those that are actually in a relationship, are miserable because they would rather be alone (be it because they don’t get along with their partners, their relationship does not feel “perfect”, they would rather have multiple partners, you name it).

Call me crazy, but I think most animals got it right: Screw monogamy, and also screw everybody…

Interesting, but I have to say that redundancy and me don’t get along that well. Although a non-intrusive invasion would be an interesting concept.

I saw some wicked things in my life, but few compare to experiencing a war zone scenario. And that was the case with the last day of the year in Amsterdam. I mean, there were people shooting rockets at buildings, cars, canals, cats, you name it. There were people jumping with stuff blowing up underneath their feet. To make matters worse, the firefighters were driving like they were drunk or high (maybe they actually were), making a stroll on the streets even more dangerous (like if the bombs were not enough).

Moral of the story: Don’t go to Amsterdam for New Year’s eve; Chances are you’ll get out of there with one less hand or foot. Worst case scenario, you don’t get out of there.

PS: It was nice, though

Indeed William, and people seem to suddenly stop in front of you every time you are walking down the street. I find it rather warm and welcoming of them.
